Ooh, so many photos this month!

Hey Rainbowers, I collected a lot of photos this month but I haven’t got around to loading them up and writing about them. I have a few spare minutes now, so here we go! It’s mostly about nothing again, but maybe a couple of things did happen since my last post.

BALI

I fuelled my Sherlock Holmes addiction this month, as I had lots of money left over from my birthday. ^w^ I bought DVDs and books and clothes. :O But when you enjoy something, you should indulge yourself!

The mornings are getting darker. D: But soon they’ll be getting light again~!

BALI

French homework. -_- (Which I probably ought to be doing right now. Ah, that’s not blood, but acrylic paint!)

BALI

That utter weirdo friend of mine trying on my glasses. We went out last week.

BALI

As I mentioned before, it was my birthday this month and the candles I had in my (homemade, yum!) cake were so colourful. ; u;

BALI BALI

Our town of Hull looks so pretty at this time of year. I’m not a big fan of Christmas, generally, but I love all of the lights and gorgeous window displays!

BALI

My mother knows me too well – a Hello Kitty advent calendar! :O >w<

BALI

Paint! I’m not entirely sure why I photographed this …

BALI BALI

The following few photos are also from around Hull. Lights and window displays and a gingerbread house in the window of a cake shop!

There are lots of adorable stationary sets around at the moment, and lots of Hello Kitty goods.

I had Subway for the first time in months! It was delicious. :3

BALI

Paintiiiiiiing~! :D

BALI

I’m fascinated by the roof of our college right now, for some reason.

BALI BALI

The best graffiti I ever found in our college toilets. If it’s not clear enough, it says “Believe in Sherlock Holmes!”

BALI

Withernsea can look so pretty in the morning. This must have been a few weeks ago because it’s much darker at that time in a morning now!

The following photos are from a trip we took to Lincoln University to see a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was fun but I’d have preferred to have seen a professional production.

I suppose it’s nice to finish with this picture. I bought some items from Bodyline, which is a Japanese shop selling cheaper, non-brand versions of lolita, cosplay and punk/visual kei fashion. I love it! :D Until I have a well paying job and can afford Moi-meme-moitie and Angelic Pretty, this is where I’ll buy my lovely clothes. >w<

Thanks for reading, and keep your chin up! ^w^

The Little Things (2)

Hey Rainbowers! It’s been a long time, and the photos are building up in my phone so I thought it’s about time to make a post. Nothing much has been happening (again, what boring life do I lead?) so it’ll just be a bunch of those little things that keep me smiling.

I really hope that if you take nothing else away from reading my blog, you’ll realise that you have to hang onto these little things, the day-to-day joys that keep you smiling. When there’s nothing going on and stress dragging you down, it’s little things that make life worth living.

I plucked up the courage to ask for a photo of these shoes when I saw someone wearing them in college. They’re a Hello Kitty x Vans collaboration and I just about fell off my chair when I saw them!

SO. CUTE. >w<

Once again, it’s coffee that keeps me going. I put some marshmallows in this one. There is nothing in this world that I love more than marshmallows.

I wish marshmallows were a vegetable.

It’s a truly beautiful time of year when colours change and become bright, and there’s that smell of rain always threatening in the air. I love the smell of damp leaves. (These are Jemma’s legs, by the way.)

I’m not sure why I took a photo like this, but it’s planning outfits (which I almost always call ‘costumes’) and throwing on loads of accessories that makes me feel happy so early in the morning!

I love the bleak landscape around here. I makes me feel like I’m in a novel. * u *

What more creative inspiration do you need than the world around you?

My beautiful and dear friend is a very special cookie. :’3

I love the paintings down in the art department. Sometimes when I have nothing else to do, I stand and stare at them for ages. So much talent~! * o *

It starts to get dark really early right now, doesn’t it? Even while waiting for the bus at 1600, the sun is setting. The sky has such beautiful pastel colours, don’t you agree?

I love the feeling of sunrise too, especially the time when it’s still dark but not quite night. This is in Withernsea. I love the old Victorian houses, but the sky above makes me feel like I’m connected to all of my friends around the world. We’re breathing ┬áthe same air and watching the same stars.

… But yet again, it’s my very ‘unique’ friends that keep me smiling!
That’s all for today. If you let yourself smile at the little things, you’ll be happy! Make sure you tell your friends how much you love them. It’s something I think we all ought to do more often because you never know when they won’t be there any more.

Rather than ending on that slightly depressing note, let’s end with a photo of three of my best friends. Though I love them all individually, there’s nothing better than having the three of them together to keep me entertained. d( ^W^ )b

Kitties and Costumes

Rainbowers~! I felt a little anxious about making a post after the last one, because it was so exciting and significant for me, but I’ve been taking photos and I need to show them off so~.

Unfortunately there hasn’t been anything interesting happening since the Star Trek thing, except a costume day at college. Exciting for someone like me! >w<

Please read and enjoy. :D

I made a great layered outfit with lots of accessories and bows for going into town! Oh look, it’s that Rainbowholic bracelet again, what a surprise. :’3

My eyebrows have been altered since I was going to cosplay for the convention (my mild latex allergy made it impossible ; n;) and I lovelovelove how they turned out so short. My parents disagree.~

I put that zebra plushie back onto my shoe, but I think it needs a wash by now. :<

The paintings I’ve been making for my art project have pretty much just been fairies and butterfly wings since I’m designing some paintings of the fairies from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It’s a lot of fun and so relaxing. ^W^

One of my fellow classmates was painting with coffee and I had the bowl of it for a while because of the smell. *o* <3

When we were in town that day, I came across a load of Hello Kitty umbrellas in Superdrug …

Then I turned the corner and there was a whole stand of Hello Kitty make-up items! :D I was beside myself. A lady kept getting in the way when I was trying to take a photo and my battery was low, so sorry for the stranger in the edge. D:

… But Hello Kitty false lashes are a bit strange. o_O

The Halloween display in Build-a-Bear was adorable! >u<

And Hello Kitty’s making an appearance again!

I dressed up in my gothic lolita costume for the college dress-up day. >w< The make-up was all I could do in the ten minutes I had spare. D:

Jemma and Dan. Jemma wasn’t dressed up for college, though. That’s just how she is. :’3 <3

That’s all for today, folks! Thanks for reading! There’ll be more photos when I collect enough to write about. :D
